Blueberries, Cucumber, Banana, Broccoli

This was a clip from my “Modern Girls Guide to Bible Study” from the speaker at MOPS last week. It made me laugh because one of my best friends and I ALWAYS over eat on chips and salsa….and the reference to it in this book made me laugh. (Yeah, I realize its kinda weird to take pictures of books)

Flash forward to today, I finally get around to putting the stuff from the top of my closet in the containers. (um, what you don’t see here is all of the stuff on the FLOOR that when into the containers.)

Then I went a little nuts. I started freaking out that I may not be able to get more and, man, did I need more. In my head I was thinking all the places that i needed these in my life and how they would make me feel better, etc….seriously, I was on a mission. BUT, its like the coldest day in forever here and with a baby thats already been overcoming I couldn’t take her out. What do I do? Call MIL and have her watch the kids so I can run to Wal-Mart and get more $3.40 containers before they run out…not lying I felt like a mad woman at one point.

MIL gets here, I run to Wal-Mart dash to the end cap, load my cart and think….I’ll just look over there too. Um, yeah, TONS. DUH! All $3.40. So I guess this is just the price…and I thought I was getting a great deal. Not even a “Rollback” sign. **blushing** {Yes, I saw the clear ones too, but i need sturdy. Who cares if these aren’t all that cute and attractive…they work for me! }

So to continue on with crazy, I decided that I had to do the garage TODAY! Yes, 30* and all.

Feel so much better!

The other day I picked up SB early from school and saw two classmates playing on the computer. I asked they teacher if they really got it since the last time we showed SB he basically just had us navigate it. She said all the kids were doing well. Interesting. Not long later, I pulled out an old laptop we had laying around to see if SB could get around. I also figured that a mac mouse (one click) may make a difference. He quickly proved to me that once on PBSKids.org, he was good to go. He was pulling up and playing spelling and number games in no time.

I’m kinda weird about letting him spend long amounts of time in front of the TV and now playing the computer…I’ll also be this way when he figures out how to play the wii. I just think kids should play and use their imaginations. Does that mean it never happens, no. I catch us with the TV still on sometimes around 11 am wondering if its been off at all…it happens. I just try to limit things. Seriously, I actually have to set a timer to get him off. {don’t you just love timers??}

This was today after Church. Starlet finally went to sleep (let me tell you, I have had a S-I-C-K baby the last 5 days and I’m tired!), EP was watching the Cowboys and I just needed to finish my grocery list in peace…Peace not being quiet per se – more like don’t bother me for the next 30 min PLEASE!
