Tooth

Well, just as I was about to give up hope – we have a tooth.

I kid, of course. Stunt Boy was a late teether so it was really no surprise to me that Starlet still had no teeth at 9 months. I was thinking just yesterday morning, prior to her check-up, that teeth were the only thing missing (crawling, babbling, pulling up, etc have all been mastered). Like hair growth, which my children lack none of, teeth aren’t something you can help along like walking. You just have to wait it out.

After Starlet woke up from her morning nap, I was dressing her and as she was smiling I thought I saw something in her mouth….just not where I had expected (or had been looking for that matter). Of course I stick a finger in there and she tries to wrangle away, but sure enough there was a tooth! I’m fairly certain it wasn’t there before the nap, but really I guess I have no clue because I’ve been checking out the bottom.

OH – and it isn’t the top FRONT tooth. Nope, we are a bit special, its the tooth next o the front tooth. AND, upon further inspection, the other tooth beside the front is coming in. So she’ll have tooth – blank-blank-tooth. So she’ll just have a huge gap. NICE!!!!

No signs of any other teeth.

So exciting that Starlet is getting some teeth. Fun about which ones! I guess that is a side effect from reading so much Twilight while you were pregnant!!
